FIRST STEPS MINISTRIES

Kindergarten Promotion - Our First Steps five-year-olds who will be attending kindergarten in the fall will move to their new Kids Matter classes on Sunday, August 1, and Wednesday, August 4.

July Bible Verse & Praise Phrase - July's Bible Verse, 1 Peter 2:17 says, "Show proper respect to everyone..." The Praise Phrase is RAT-A-TAT-TAT ~ RESPECT IS WHERE IT'S AT.

July Parents' Link -The July issue of The Parents' Link is now available under First Steps Preschool Ministries on the church's website. This month's topic is communicating with God through prayer. Talking to and listening to God isn't just for
grown-ups. Jesus wants little children to approach him in prayer about anything and everything. This month's newsletter is packed with tips about helping children connect with God.

Parents of Preschoolers - You are welcome to join our First Steps Ministry Team by becoming a monthly volunteer in your child's room. FSM offers a thriving and effective program for young children. Come join the fun as you experience church from your child's perspective. Call Kathy Courtney at (614) 875-2551, ext. 300, for more information.

Parents of Our Littlest Members - You are invited to become a part of our Nursery/Twos team at First Steps Ministries. By volunteering once a month you can bless our little ones as you rock them, read to them, and show them the love of Jesus. KIDS MATTER MINISTRIES (Kindergarten-Fourth Grade)

Live It! Beginning July 18, there will be a registration table in the Narthex for parents to register their children for our Wednesday Night Small Groups. Please stop by to reserve a space for your child. We still need a couple of small group shepherds. Please contact the KMM office at (614) 875-7379.

Family Celebrations - All KMM students will worship with their families during the weekend services in the month of July. There will be no Live It! Groups on Wednesday evenings. Children will move to their new age levels on Sunday, August 1, and Wednesday, August 4.

Family Fun Fridays in July:
Family Feud Night - July 16 - Come to the Food Court for some fun family trivia. The Garden will be open at 6:00 pm for you to enjoy some family specials. We will kick off family feud entertainment, including surveys answered by our own KMM, Ignition, and GCCCC students, at 7:00 pm.
Fryer Park - July 23 - Join KMM families at the playground at 7:00 pm to play, and at 8:00 pm to pray for our softball tournament outreach on Sunday, July 25.
COSI - July 30 - Friday Night rates start at 5:30 pm.

Aug 6 - Hike with us and then we will enjoy s'mores afterwards. (Time and place to be announced)
Aug 13 - Movie night here at GCCN. (Time to be announced)
